Elite Management Professionals, Inc. was founded on the principle of providing a higher level of hands on customer-driven service to single family, office, townhome and condominium communities. We are passionate about what we do and are eager to serve each community’s specific needs. In today’s difficult times, we know that homeowners are faced with many challenges. We will continue to find innovative ways to solve problems, trouble shoot issues, save money and exceed your community’s goals…

Our team of professionals are experienced in developer communities, multi-family associations, office management, onsite association management and master planned communities. We have the experience to solve problems and will work with the Board to find the best resolution to issues.

Elite Management Professionals holds, the AAMC designation with Community Associations Institute (CAI.) Dawn Cothran Hatcher
PCAM, CMCA, AMS- President and Senior Community Manager

Dawn Hatcher established Elite Management Professionals, Inc. after 12 years of developing and growing another local management company. As a PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager) and owner of the company, Dawn oversees all communities the company is managing. Dawn also holds the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation from the Community Association Institute and the Association Management Specialist (AMS). She has been in the Association Management industry since 1998, first working for a developer and builder and then becoming a Community Manager, servicing townhome, condominium, and single family communities in the Triangle area.

Katie Dominello,
PCAM, CMCA, AMS-  Senior Community Manager,

Katie Dominello is a portfolio community manager in Raleigh, Durham, Wake Forest and Cary. In additional to Portfolio Management, Katie has experience with onsite management working with a local community of over 1000 homeowners for several years. Katie earned her Bachelor’s degree in communication and journalism from Keene State College. She is an excellent problem solver and enjoys working with homeowners. She holds the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation, the Certified Manager of Community Association designation (CMCA) and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation. Katie was also the winner of the Community Associations Institute 2012 Portfolio Manager of Distinction Award..

Star Smith,
AMS, Senior Community Manager

Star Smith has been a Community Manager since 1996.   Star’s experience includes every aspect of association management including financial, maintenance, and governance matters.  Her current portfolio includes townhomes, condominiums, single family housing and commercial properties.  Her enthusiastic attitude allows homeowners and Board members alike to relate easily with her allowing for the quick resolution of their concerns.

Karen Bayless,

Karen Bayless is the specialized community manager dedicated to working with local and national developers throughout the community preconstruction process. She ensures that the transition from developer to homeowners control is seamless. Karen holds her North Carolina real estate license and has over 10 years onsite sales experience with new developments in the area. She also has over 10 years’ experience as a Property Manager. Karen has achieved her Certified Manager of Community Association designation (CMCA) and AMS.

With an education in Economics from Auburn University and after fifteen years of both the mortgage and construction industries, Dana brings diverse talents and solid support to the HOA communities. Dana has achieved her CMCA and AMS designations and looks forward to learning more and growing with the company.

Greyson is a graduate from NC State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. She has many years of customer service experience right here in Raleigh and enjoys working with a diverse portfolio of communities in the Triangle area. She is passionate and dedicated to the communities that she works with and strives to have excellent communication with Boards, homeowners and vendors. Susan Lindelof,

Susan is originally from Williamsburg, VA and relocated to Northern VA to start her career. After visiting Raleigh in 2004, she fell in love with the area and immediately moved. Susan has 1 dog, 2 cats & 2 daughters, one is in college and the other is getting ready to start middle school. On the weekends you’ll find her spending time with family and friends or out in downtown Raleigh listening to her husband’s band. Susan comes with several years of property management experience and over 8 years in managing homeowners associations. Susan takes a lot of pride in the communities that she has managed.

Stephanie is a Campbell University alumni with  a B.A. in Mass Communications.   She is a native of the Raleigh/Durham area and is proud to call it home.  Having been a Licensed Residential Real Estate Appraiser for 13 years, Stephanie knows the importance of home values.   She takes great pride in working with homeowners and Boards to help guide them in making informed and sound business decisions, as a Community, that could impact those values. Hilary Slater,

Hilary Slater is a native of Raleigh. After college she worked in the property management industry since 2008 and enjoys working with the public.  Hilary’s strengths are problem analysis and conflict resolution. During her time in the property management field she has helped with large renovation projects, working extensively with the reserve study, budget planning, implementing new procedures when needed, etc. Hilary takes pride in the communities she works with and looks forward to overcoming challenges and learning new things.

Ben Scoular,

Benjamin is originally from New York, and recently moved to the triangle area to be closer to family and friends.  Ben has spent many years working in the customer service, landscaping, and aquatics industry.  Ben worked as a project manager for a lake management company establishing personal relationships working directly with HOA’s and boards of directors.   He thoroughly enjoys working in community management.

Kirsten is a graduate of Peace College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology. Her position supports a Community Manager with a portfolio of communities. She provides customer service and administrative support to homeowners and Board members. She is currently a Graduate Student at UNCW getting her Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Eleanor Haynes is a graduate of Meredith College with a BA in Interior Design and a Raleigh Native.  She has 30 years in property management and holds both CAM and CAPS designations.  Eleanor is dedicated to her work performance, homeowners and Elite.  In her free time she enjoys gardening, spending time with her 3 dogs, 2 cats and her African grey parrot named Baby.

Megan Gates,

Megan is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and has attained her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Central Missouri. Megan has spent several years working in the housing and customer service industry. Megan previously worked as a Marketing Manager for a student housing facility where she was able to groom her skills in communications, landscaping, as well as practice being the liaison between vendors, contractors and the community. She is over joyed to now utilize her strengths to serve the Elite Management Team.

Trish Cates, CMCA, AMS
Community Manager

Trish’s education and background includes Business Administration, Accounting and Non-Profit Management.  Trish has worked in the HOA management field for twelve years, managing condominiums, townhomes and single-family homes.  Prior to coming to Elite, she was a Construction, Property, HOA and Asset Manager in the Affordable Home Sales program in Chapel Hill and Carrboro.   Trish is active in and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the CAI-NC Triangle Council.  Trish believes strongly in building and keeping community in community management.  Trish enjoys her free time with her husband, kids, grandkids, music, pets along volunteering with animal rescues, music therapy for the special needs population, working with the homeless and at-risk population and building with Habitat for Humanity.

Andrea “Drea” Paulk,

Andrea, who goes by the nickname Drea, was born and raised in Durham and currently resides in Chapel Hill. She has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she worked closely with Habitat for Humanity, Orange County and continues to volunteer her time helping their cause. She has worked in customer service for over 13 years including 4 years in management at a busy bank branch. Her position with Elite supports a Community Manager with a portfolio of communities in addition to managing a few of her own. She is looking forward to learning and growing in this field. In her spare time she likes to read books, watch movies, and just enjoy time with her family.

Bruce Hill, CMCA

Community Manager

Bruce Hill joined Elite Management Professionals after years in real estate conducting residential and commercial transactions.  In addition, he spent the last 5 years in property management prior to making the jump to community management.  Bruce has passed the M-100 class and is on track to have his CMCA. He is a gifted leader and trainer, and valuable asset to any community he serves.

Born and raised in New Bern, NC, Bruce moved to the Triangle to finish high school at North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Bruce spends his free time enjoying Tar Heel sports, exploring new dining establishments, and getting away to the beach or mountains with his wife and two children.

Lena Deptolla, AMS
Community Manager

Lena Deptolla was the onsite Community Manager for a large scale Homeowner’s Association of 2500 homes. The four years that Lena worked with the community she managed the communities policies and procedures, she was performing weekly site inspections, hired and managed a large staff, and oversaw the amenities of a 20,000 square foot Athletic Center, clubhouse, 2 pools, 2 playgrounds, tennis courts, and golf course. Lena created and managed a $1.4 million dollar budget annually. Lena has enjoyed 16 years in industry plus, commercial real estate management of 24 retail centers & office parks, multifamily conventional (apartment management), vacation rentals at Wrightsville Beach & Bald Head Island, and Resort management (Spa management).

Debbie Haynes,

Debbie is originally from Rhode Island and has been a North Carolina resident for 16 years.  She has 15 years of HOA management experience that covers condominiums, commercial properties, townhomes and single family communities.  Debbie’s strengths are problem solving, budget planning and procedure implementation.  Debbie is a licensed Notary in Wake County.  Prior to coming to Elite, she was the office manager for a maintenance company where she provided exceptional communication to customers and focused on providing a high level of customer service.

A  graduate from Herbert W. Armstrong College with a degree in Liberal Arts. Over six years experience in customer service and experience in clerical duties. As a community manager she performs routine property inspections, complete real estate transfer forms, assist homeowners in completing architectural request forms, maintain and update community website, schedule homeowner events and assist with day-to-day task.

Rameika Jones,

Rameika is a North Carolina native. She obtained her B.A. in Fashion and Textile Management from the North Carolina State University in December of 2015. Upon graduation, Rameika relocated to Scranton, PA where she gained experience in the staffing industry. In 2017, she made her way back to Raleigh where she stepped into the business and customer relations industry. She thoroughly enjoys helping others and making sure their needs are met to the best of her ability. In her free time, Rameika enjoys painting, listening to music, watching sports/tv, volunteering and traveling. Rameika is ecstatic to join the Elite team and happy to help in any way she can!

Anne de Bellevue, Quebec before travelling extensively throughout Canada.  She came to Raleigh after leaving Vancouver, British Columbia and worked for many years as a District Sales Manager for the Raleigh News and Observer.  While there, she received many awards and returned to school in pursuit of her Associate’s Degree in Science.  She often made the Dean’s list, joined Phi Theta Kappa and is a member of the National Honors Society.  She joined Elite in November of 2019 and is looking forward to obtaining her certifications in HOA management.  She’s happily working under the tutelage of Hilary Slater on-site at Grove Park in Durham.  In her spare time, Carol still enjoys travelling and spending time with friends, family and her black Labrador mix Maggie.

Brent has served as the Facilities Manager for Providence Glen for 10 years. Brent brings an extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, pool management and general contractor knowledge. Brent is also a certified CPO (certified pool operator) through the state.

Beth is a Meredith College alumni, and received her Master’s degree in Nutrition from UNC-Greensboro. She is a native of Murfreesboro, NC. She has lived in Thailand, Malaysia, Dallas, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, Knoxville, TN and now Cary, NC. Having lived in a lot of places, she recognizes the importance of having a community. She has worked for 10 years with volunteers in the health care profession. Beth serves as Lifestyle Director at Auburn Village. She enjoys meeting new people and building events and activities for them to enjoy their neighborhoods even more. She is married to Tom, a Senior pastor in Cary, NC. They have 2 adult kids: they live in San Antonio, Texas and Milan, Italy. In her free time, Beth loves to cook with her husband ethnic foods of all kinds from their travels.

Leigh Jones manages the accounts payable for all Associations including processing vendor packages and maintaining the records for needed insurance and tax information. Leigh also assists in many areas in the accounting department. Julie is originally from Michigan and moved to NC in 2011.  Julie holds 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry and was also a licensed real estate agent in Michigan.  Since moving to North Carolina she has held the position of  Assistant Branch Manager and Collections Manager at a finance company. Wendy is originally from Massachusetts and moved to NC in 2015. In Massachusetts, Wendy owned her own business for ten years and prior to that worked as a manager for three years.  Within that time frame she also attended Fisher College for Administration and was a licensed real estate agent. Since moving to NC, she has worked as an HOA Community Manager with a different Association Management Company. She brings her experience in bookkeeping and is presently responsible for processing resales, banking transactions, coupon orders, and annual tax procedures for various communities.

Katie earned her Bachelor’s degree in communication and journalism from Keene State College. She is an excellent problem solver and enjoys working with homeowners. She holds the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation, the Certified Manager of Community Association designation (CMCA) and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation. Katie was also the winner of the Community Associations Institute 2012 Portfolio Manager of Distinction Award..
