Dawn Hatcher established Elite Management Professionals, Inc. after 12 years of developing and growing another local management company. As a PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager) and owner of the company, Dawn oversees all communities the company is managing. Dawn also holds the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation from the Community Association Institute and the Association Management Specialist (AMS). She has been in the Association Management industry since 1998, first working for a developer and builder and then becoming a Community Manager, servicing townhome, condominium, and single family communities in the Triangle area.

Karen Bayless
AMS-Senior Community Manager
Karen Bayless manages both small and large established communities, works with local/national developers throughout the preconstruction and construction process and as a Senior Community Manager with onsite management offices. With new construction communities, she ensures that at construction completion, the transition from developer to homeowner control is seamless. Â Karen also leads the Elite Management Training department working with new employees and conducting monthly training for both managers and assistant managers with her assistant, Sarah.
Karen is an NCSU graduate and has over 15 years of experience in association management and holds her North Carolina real estate license (currently inactive). She has over 10 years onsite new home sales experience and over 10 years of experience as a Property Manager (multifamily).

He has a bachelors in Political Science from High Point University, a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from UNC-Greensboro, and a Masters of Science in Administration from Saint Josephs University. Nick comes to Elite with several years of HOA experience and has also worked both the governmental and nonprofit sectors. Outside of Elite Nick is very involved for different causes and serves with nonprofits.

Sarah is originally from New York, but she has called North Carolina home since 2014. For most of that time, she has worked with Elite Management Professionals as an Assistant Community Manager to Senior Portfolio Manager, Karen Bayless. She has since moved into the position of portfolio management and earned her CMCA and AMS designations. Along with her regular management duties, Sarah works with Katie Dominello to establish and implement processes and procedures for the company. Sarah is excited to continue contributing to the company and looks forward to many more years with Elite Management Professionals.

Sierra Daye is a dedicated Community Manager at Elite Management, where she was proudly promoted in February 2025 after two years serving as a valued Assistant. With a strong background in customer service and prior experience as a General Manager, Sierra brings both professionalism and a people-first approach to her growing portfolio of communities.
Her time working closely under the company’s Vice President and Senior Manager gave her hands-on insight into high-level operations and leadership, laying a strong foundation for her transition into management. Carol McKechnie

Carol is originally from Phoenix, Arizona but grew up in Montréal, Quebec and speaks fluent French. Carol attended college at St. John’s CEGEP in Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Quebec before travelling extensively throughout Canada. She came to Raleigh after leaving Vancouver, British Columbia and worked for many years as a District Sales Manager for the Raleigh News and Observer. While there, she received many awards and returned to school in pursuit of her Associate’s Degree in Science. She often made the Dean’s list, joined Phi Theta Kappa and is a member of the National Honors Society. She joined Elite in November of 2019 and is looking forward to obtaining her certifications in HOA management. She’s happily working under the tutelage of Hilary Slater and managing multiple portfolios in addition to managing a community on her own and studying for her CMCA accreditation. In her spare time, Carol still enjoys traveling and spending time with friends, family, and her dog Jake.

Shelby McGinnis, CSEP, brings over a decade of experience in event planning and program management, with a background spanning both nonprofit and hospitality sectors. She has worked with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club, the Salvation Army, and the USO, as well as contributing to program development within the Maryland school system, where she coordinated impactful educational and community initiatives. In recent years, Shelby has taken on leadership roles in the hospitality industry in the North Hills area of Raleigh, NC, overseeing operations and executing memorable events. As a Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP), she combines her diverse expertise with a passion for fostering meaningful connections and creating experiences that engage and inspire communities.

Olena was born in Ukraine and moved to Cary, NC, USA after her adoption. She cherishes her culture and does outreach projects to help others with a passion for working with children/adoptions. She has a business degree with honors and 8+ years in the customer service industry and management. She enjoys working on cars with her husband, cooking/exploring new foods, and exploring farmers’ markets. She is a fur mama of a German Shepherd/husky mix, a bonus mama of a 7-year-old girl, and welcomed her first baby in December 2025.  Her favorite place is Maggie Valley, NC, where she fell in love with her now husband, exploring the Eurofest car show. Olena loves interacting and helping the homeowners she works with and is always ready for a challenge.

Cari Antal-Perrin brings a strong background in customer service to her role as Assistant Community Manager. With over five years of experience in customer-facing roles, she has developed a solid foundation in communication, organization, and working with people from all walks of life.
Before joining the world of HOA management, she spent two years in retail pharmacy and one year in administrative support at a doctor’s office.
Outside of work, Cari enjoys low-key days with her puppy and spending time outdoors. She’s known for her calm, friendly demeanor and her ability to make people feel welcome and heard.

Kellie McLean is a Certified Event Planner through Correlations Training Inc. with over 13 years of experience in the lifestyle and recreation industry. Her career has spanned a variety of impactful roles including Lifestyle Coordinator, Assistant Lifestyle Director, Lifestyle Director, Recreation Specialist, and Master Program Specialist—serving diverse communities across multiple facilities in Durham, NC.
Kellie has proudly serviced the Durham community through both Parks and Recreation programs and residential HOA communities, supporting up to 1,300 homes with engaging lifestyle experiences and events. Currently, she serves as the Lifestyle Director for Falls Village in Durham, where she continues to elevate resident engagement through innovative programming, strategic planning, and a deep commitment to community wellness.
Her passion for creating meaningful connections and memorable events has made her a trusted leader in the field, known for her dedication, creativity, and ability to bring people together.

Ashley’s introduction to HOAs comes from serving multiple terms for her own Master and Sub Association Boards since 2015. Katie Dominello is a portfolio community manager in Raleigh, Durham, Mebane and Cary. In addition to Portfolio Management, Katie has experience with onsite management working with a local community of over 1000 homeowners for several years. Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and journalism from Keene State College. She is an excellent problem solver and enjoys working with homeowners. She holds the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation, the Certified Manager of Community Association designation (CMCA) and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation. Katie was also the winner of the Community Associations Institute 2012 Portfolio Manager of Distinction Award. Katie has enjoyed working in the HOA industry for over 16 years.Â
